It is my hope that the game does extremely well and maybe we'll get the Deadpool movie we deserve. Not the abomination that was Deadpool in the last Wolverine movie.
Some of what they did as far as coming up with a new origin story was ok, but it was too far over the top. Deadpool being a super-swordsman to the point of deflecting bullets before being treated? OK, in a world of awesome mutant powers it is doable. Shooting lasers out of his eyes....ok it helps explain his eye area burning up.
Heck, I don't even have a problem with them essentially sewing his mouth shut, but embeding blades in his arms is a bit much. He got Logan's mutant healing powers and that should be enough.....but wouldn't the healing power repair his eye lasers? Doesn't having fixed blades impede Deadpool's already supernatural swordsman abilities?
Personally, I think they could have stayed a bit closer to the original Deadpool origin story and still fit it in to the Wolverine movie.
At least it could have been worse (alternate Deadpool designs):
